We ignore it and demean its value in our classrooms

COMMUNITY:

We cherish in our churches and synagogues and mosques and temples
We need it on our playing fields
We demand it on our battlefields
We require it on our stages
We evoke it in our patriotism
We exhalt it in our fraternities and sororities and social clubs
We find strength and support and encouragement and comfort in it
We banned aloneness and lonliness with it
We admire those who live it
We are awed by at its power

We ignore it and demean its value in our classrooms.
